The research "Applying Concepts of improvisation in the Hall and Bambuco Colombian Andean Region describes the process development of improvisation in genres traditionally improvised, based on a descriptive analysis of the musical elements Bambuco Hall and the Andean region, to further explore, innovate and experiment including new aspects that are not usually characteristic of these genres, in this appropriate concepts and tools typical of Jazz improvisation.

The innovation process in traditional music are exacerbated by contact with foreign cultural elements to these (Berlanga 1997), currently in Colombia we can identify a trend of musicians who have come to different genres, experiment and innovate with new items. This trend can be attributed to different variables such as

-the musicians moving from rural to urban, arising out of - violence ---, "the musician's need to identify with their urban cultural roots,

-The development of the academy and influence the evolution and mass media, urban musician getting the opportunity to have contact with other cultural currents generating a great mix of musical influences from various genres such as jazz, rock, pop, electronic music, hip-hop, among others.

In these processes of change, enrichment and innovation, it is important to have a deep knowledge and respect of traditional elements, from a historical study of music, where the ultimate goal is to propose new sounds that enrich and innovate but do not transgress the main features of the traditional elements.

final Aiming to create a language of improvisation that keeps the main features of the musical elements of Hall and Bambuco questions arose as What has been the historical development of these genres? What are the musical characteristics of these? Which concepts and tools of improvisation will be used? How to involve those elements in the genres of study? How will include instruments that are not common in the traditional format? among other questions.

--- is vitally important - to note that in the traditional music of the Colombian Andean region the concept of improvisation in the way it is used in jazz, there and has not been a feature at any time in its history. Therefore it was important to conduct a study of the concepts and tools used in jazz improvisation. Gender, which thanks to its permeability, allowing his meeting with various world music, creating a line of development both for the music of each country and for the Jazz. At present the musical roots of the interpreters of this kind are of great influence and interest in his artistic development.

The development process of improvisation improvised genres not traditionally possible grouping of rhythmic and melodic elements and Bambuco Corridor along improvisatory concepts common in jazz, first requires careful study to describe and define the main characteristics that define the sound of each gender. From this study it is possible to start a exploration and experimentation in which to build a language of improvisation in the genres of Colombian Andean
